As your children gradually enter their adolescent (teenage) years, you are faced with new concerns.
At this stage, your children are neither children nor adults. It’s a phase where they transit from childhood to adulthood. You understand the changes they will undergo. Emotional, behavioral, physical and psychological changes.

This comes with various challenges on the child. You are concerned that the attitude of your child at this stage can lead to poor grades in school. If not curbed.

You are concerned about the behavioral changes that occurs to them at this stage. Which can lead to impulsive attitudes that can be harmful to them. You fear the negative influence the peer group can have on your child. Which could lead your child to drinking and possible substance use, abuse or addiction. And about bullying
Your children could also find academics at this stage to be challenging due to their struggle for independence. They want to develop their own set of values which may not make academics a priority. Hence, resulting in poor grades.

To meet the various needs of your children at this level, we:

• Give them adequate supervision – We give your children all the support they need. Ensuring that they are well supervised and mentored both at the classrooms (through their teachers) and in the hostels – through the house masters, matrons and patrons. Ensuring that they keep within set and agreed boundaries at all times.
• Listen – We keep the communication channels open with your children. Giving them opportunities to talk and ask general questions. And responsive to their needs.
• Make them use their hands – Skills Development: We develop creativity and critical thinking skills in them. Giving them life skills that will gradually prepare them for the future. We give them skills in the areas of Robotics, Coding, ICT, Entrepreneurship and Music. Diverting their minds towards something creative that can be of use to them.
